We Made It!!!

We arrived in Guangzhou a couple of hours ago. Everything went very smoothly but it was long, long, long. Our guide, Elsie, met us at the airport. She is very sweet and very talkative giving us lots of good information. She floored us with the news that she just saw Magnolia last week when she took another family to visit the orphanage. She said she likes our daughter very much, that she's very active, and looks "normal" which we took to mean healthy or on target for her age. This was very exciting news for us, we were so floored with this news that we forgot to ask if she was crawling. We're assuming so if she said she's active.
Our hotel room is HUGE and gorgeous on the 32nd floor with a beautiful view of the city. Elsie told us it's our free day tomorrow and since we're in the business district there's not a whole lot to do. We are going to venture out regardless. She told us there's an IKEA 3-4 minutes away, we're going to check that out. We just ordered room service, roasted duck and mango spring rolls and fried vegetarian siamese noodles, it was delicous! We've just taken our 2nd ambien of the day with hopes to sleep through the night trying very hard to ignore what time our bodies thinks it is.

We are so relieved to be here and truthfully a little overwhelmed. I cried as we landed knowing we are now on Magnolia's soil, knowing she's not so far away from me anymore. There are only 2 and a half days until we meet her. It's a very overpowering and emotional feeling. I feel like we have come so far and here we are halfway around the world unpacking little baby things for a 9 month old we have yet to meet. Certainly an adventure of a lifetime.

I'm blogging this in Chinese and don't know how to view our blog yet. Can someone email us at our account to let us know that this got posted?

I will be updating frequently, stay posted!
