We spent Father's Day on the island.  My parents joined us and they brought along our niece, Willa, who has been staying with them.
We visited the petting zoo.  George feeds the bunnies and declared that the black and white spotted bunny is a "fire engine bunny."
If you didn't already know, Magnolia is completely obsessed with horses.  As we all walked on, I turned around and saw her sitting like this; still, quiet, and completely unaware that everyone else moved on.  She was studying that miniature horse with intent like I've never seen in her before.
George runs to catch up with his Papa.

On Father's Day after breakfast we head over to Jackson Harbor to see if we could fish.  George has been waiting to go fishing ever since he got his first fishing rod from Papa on his third birthday.  Well, Magnolia has gotten into the excitement and on this trip Papa bought her a beautiful new fishing rod too!
Papa also brought George an old metal bait box, the kind that Papa used when he was a boy.

Look at that!  George caught his first fish!
 A small mouth bass!

George was so excited and a little sad that it had to be thrown back.
Magnolia sits with her dad hoping to catch one too!
George loves his Papa.
Willa catches one too!  A much bigger small mouth bass!  Way to go, Willa!
Before we went fishing we went over to the Sunset Resort to have a Norwegian breakfast.
Then we walked around the grounds afterwards.

It was a great weekend.  Great weather.  Great company.  If you want to see more pictures of our visit and get information about renting our place, click here.
