Breakfast with Santa at the beautiful Pfister Hotel! This is such a fun tradition. We couldn't get a reservation last year so this year I booked early to make sure we wouldn't miss it. The kids were very excited about it. George repeatedly informed us that he would not sit on Santa's lap and Magnolia promised she would tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Bless her heart, she quietly recited her list and then tried hard to remember George's. We let them eat whatever they wanted. For Magnolia that meant a plate FULL of bacon (she was desperately thirsty for the rest of the day) and George wanted a sausage to dip in syrup.
Then we noticed that his sausage was in his water glass. In the beautiful Pfister Hotel. His sausage was "getting cleaned, it was too sticky." Oh my, oh my. Then it was time! Time to see Santa and Mrs. Claus! Notice how Magnolia is standing in line and George is (safely) on the other side of the rope. One last reminder to tell Magnolia what he wanted...
And so she tells him..."He wants a back scratcher and a toy sausage." Yes, that was his list for weeks and it never changed. Magnolia did a great job and I'd say Georgie owes her big time!
Then Magnolia got to tell him that she wanted a ride-on pony and a Dreamlite.
After that hard work was done we did a lot of crafts. They made ornaments, decorated cookies, and wrote letters to Santa (as extra reminders).
It was a lovely wintery morning!
