After breakfast we went to a famous park, not sure why it's so famous. I'm so into Magnolia on the bus, I miss a lot of the info our guides are sharing. I do know that mostly retired people come here to socialize, to play hackey sack, and to take ballroom dance lessons right there in the park. It was unbelievably hot and humid. The gardens were gorgeous and George said it felt like we were in a climatron...it did! Magnolia was sleeping in my arms when we got there. When we got off the bus, we were soaked immediately. She never fusses, she's so good, she always seems to be in a good mood. She loves the Bjorn and I walked around with her. We drew lots of stares and many of the women came up to make Magnolia smile and laugh, which she did. It was so cute.
They all kept pointing to her nose as if I didn't know it was runny but how many times can you wipe her nose. Poor thing, we know, already has sensitive skin. I just smiled and nodded. They pointed to her dimple and I nodded to say, yes, isn't it cute. Then I held up 9 fingers to show them how old she is. They patted her hard on the leg, just like her caregiver in the orphanage did, and said many things to her in Chinese. I wish one of our guides was with us so I knew what they were saying, it seemed to be good things and I think they were wishing her well.
After the park we went to the Chen Clan Temple. Here's George and Magnolia under a Magnolia tree. :) After this photo a group of French people started to point at us and and talk to each other, I asked if they were French and they said yes and if she was our baby. I said yes and they said she's a very pretty baby and what a head of hair! Then they all said bravo over and over again. That was weird, I'm China and speaking french.

Ahh Haaa your French has continued to serve you well years since Sister Judy forced you to memorize the La Petit Prince in 8th grade. :0)
I love the magnolia tree picture-very cool! Can you grow Magnolia trees in Northern WI?! Miss Magnolia looks as much in love with you as you are with her! Her smile just warms my heart!
My mouth is watering for that Dim Sum! Have fun with Joe-please post pictures of your visit. That is just wild that you can make that happen! I'm jealous--I would love to fly over to China to see you guys!
I hope Magnolie feels better soon. Liquids, Sleep & Time will get her all better! In fact, just stay in your room all day and blog minute by minute photos of her--I would love that! LOL Just kidding.
Get sleep, get well, get home! Emily
