Photos

The trip to the orphanage today was emotionally draining. I can't even process it now so I will have to wait a day or two. Magnolia was certainly loved there. It is not a place you want your child to spend an hour let alone nine months. It was so important for us to visit but it was not easy.

Here are some photos from the day before...

Our first dinner out as a family!

Playing nicely with dad until I show up.

The only way I can get ready in the morning, I can't leave her sight. She's in the stroller.

Magnolia loves to run, here we are running down the hall in the hotel. Park in front of the hotel.

Hi, George & Lucy.

Reading your blog is better than the best novel! Sounds like you are having a wonderful time bonding and becoming a family. You all look perfect together! Magnolia is a true gift from God. She is absolutely lovely--and seems such a happy baby!

We're thrilled for you! Of course, Grandma Anne will keep us posted on progress as you get back and settled. When you eventually make a trip to St. Louis, I hope that Dickson and I will get to meet her personally. We already adore her. No wonder you say you're in love!

Lucy,

I have finally done it...that picture of Magnolia in the pool is too precious...it's now my desktop picture at work and at home. Not to mention all your pics have become my screensaver slideshow! I'm soooooo happy for you guys! I can't wait to meet her.

I'm going to be in Door Cty next Saturday...wish it wasn't so soon, then I could come and visit! We will also be up again in Sept for a Packers game, I'll let you know, hope I can visit and see you, George, and Magnolia!

So happy for your family...Love and miss you bunches!

Oh my, Oh my,
Guys, Magnolia is so photogenic and happy! We've been out of town since Thursday and what a treat to come home and see your updates. I love the pics in the pool and her look at the pair of feet tapping at her bottom. You've captured her wonderful expressions so well! Have a safe trip home.

Hi Judy Family~
I have limited access to internet at home nowadays-so my comments will be fewer than I'd like. I love the recent pictures, especially the one of the 3 of you! You all look so happy & beautiful! Love, the Olson's

Your blog is so exciting to read. I have never used my computer so much. You all look so happy together. It seems Magnolia has grown just in the last week. I can't believe she is holding herself up in the pool like that. She just needed her mommy and daddy!!! She is such a doll. I anxiously await more...

Musa says that he would "like very much to try that chicken advertised at Mc Donald's." He is captivated by the photo. He also says that he would give the neck and head to Annie to "nibble on." Isa says that he "misses Magnolia."

We are all loving your blog!

We love all the photos, but especially the photos of Magnolia in the pool with that Giant Foot pushing her bottom...it is clear that you guys are enjoying her so much. We know you will have much to share with us all about the trip to the orphanage, and we can only try to imagine the kind of effect it must have had on you both...like looking backwards into a history that is gone now, as you turn into your wonderful future, but something that will always be there in your remmbrances of a thing past. (Mom says, "Boy, is it hot!") which it is here in our little studio as the evening sun finally leaves and we pray for the cool of night. Speaking of cool, we just chatted with Joe. He says we cannot believe yet what a beauty Magnolia is. But we do believe. Love from Mom and Dad.

George, is that a Michael Jordan tongue you have out while feeding Magnolia ice cream? I can't imagine seeing the orphanage or taking Magnolia to the ER. What memories you are creating - good and bad. So glad she is back to normal and that your time away is coming to an end.

George and Lucy,
It has been so great to read your blog and catch up. Tim and I keep commenting on how happy you all look. We are so excited for you both. Magnolia is more precious and beautiful now with her parents than in the previous pictures before. What a blessing. We cannot wait for our daughters to meet. Have a safe return home. We'll be checking in.
