I adore this dress that we bought for Magnolia in China. We bought it for her to wear on Red Couch Day. I loved the shop we bought it from. We even bought her another one to wear when she's older and a purse to match! Here she's wearing it exactly a year later in 2008 and it still fits!

So funny - that is the exact same dress that we bought for Lucy from the same store.(which by the way was my favorite store in China) Of all the dresses I bought it was one of my favorites as well. The other favorite was her Christening gown that I bought at the same store - it's just beautiful. Magnolia is so, so cute. she looks adorable in her dress from China!
I love that dress! And the model...darling!! Once of my biggest regrets is the lack of shopping I accomplished in China...our guide kept telling us to wait until Guangzhou...and by the time we got there, I was almost delerious with a fever and ear infection...and so not a lot of shopping. I am already in training (:-)) for our next visit (I may have a walker by then...doesn't matter!)...making lists and working out, etc. I hope I can find something as cute as this little number Magnolia is sporting.
I can't believe how much she changed...even more beautiufl if that is possible!

That is amazing that it still fits her a year later! She is SUCH a peanut! Ook, so WHERE is the shop in regards to the White Swan? Any shopping tips would be greatly appreciated (regrets about not getting something or getting something you could have done without!) LOVe the dress :) I will be looking for one too!!

Sara, Hope you get this message, otherwise I'll leave one on your blog. Shopping is fun in China! Everyone will know where this shop is on Shaimen Island, not far from the White Swan. We bought most of Magnolia's gifts here. I loved their beautiful white cotton pjs trimmed in navy. They sell them for boys but we bought her two pairs! You'll have no problem picking out stuff. We liked their selection of jewelry. I wear my pink pearls from here a lot! It seems overwhelming at first to buy so many gifts but every day we picked up something and by the end we had enough for the next 18 years! :)
P.S. Buy the Chinese outfits for every year, they're only $3-$4 and you'll be glad you have them every Chinese New Year!
